Lamination is the process of applying a thin plastic coating to the cover of your book. Lamination can be matt or gloss depending on the look and feel you want.

Gloss Lamination has a shiny look to it as seen below!

Matt Lamination has less of a shine.

When you laminate a printed book, it is usually only on one side meaning it’s only on the outside cover and doesn’t extend to the inside cover.

When you print a book, it acts as a protective cover. Gloss lamination helps to reduce stains from spills and has a soft touch to it while matt lamination has a velvety touch which helps reduce the appearance of scratches and marks.
